The Corvus corax laurencei also known as the Punjab Raven is found in areas of Pakistan and northwestern India. The Corvus corax has coexisted with humans for thousands of years. These highly intelligent omnivorous corvids can live up to 21 years in the wild due to their versatile ways in finding sources of nutrition.
The common raven has found its place as the subject of mythology in many cultures looked at as a spiritual figure and god.
This particular Corvus corax was found early in the morning just outside of New Delhi, India.
There deep dark features mesmerize me every time I come across them finding there precision tuned flight a great contrast with the encompassing brilliant blue sky.
Crows, ravens, magpies, and jays are not just feathered machines, rigidly programmed by their genetics. Instead, they are beings that, within the constraints of their molecular inheritance, make complex decisions and show every sign of enjoying a rich awareness.
