Hiking up to Rattlesnake ledge is something that can be done without having to travel hours away from the greater Seattle area as it is only about a half hours drive to North Bend heading east on I-90.
The hike is about 1.9 miles up a well maintained trail to the ledge which opens up facing the east with views of Rattlesnake Lake just below. Mount Si can be seen off in the distance as well.
These pictures were taken back in September early one morning just as the sun rose over the Cascades.
